Profile Sales CMS Group Corporate Responsibility

Corporate responsibility towards the environment is high on everybody's agenda, with green issues being hot topics wherever you look. Being involved in a high waste industry, the protection of the environment is a particular concern for CMS and we are working hard to keep environmental considerations top of our agenda.

Listed below are just some of the initiatives CMS have put in place and rest assured we are constantly looking to improve our impact on the environment.

A Greener CMS

  • CMS is an active member of C10C, a government approved scheme which can provide solutions for the collection, recycling and disposal of end of life machines.
  • We are committed to working with Save-a-Cup, a not-for-profit Company funded and supported by the vending and catering industry to provide a free collection and recycling service to users of plastic vending cups
  • All CMS machines are fully compliant with RoHS, an EU directive that restricts the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical & electronic equipment
  • Evolution, Genesis, BevMax 3 and Shopper 2 machines are benefiting from power saving software, significantly reducing their power requirement. CMS are committed to improving energy usage year on year, including making this a key factor in all new product development
  • CMS are currently working towards ISO14001 accreditation, benefits of which include better management of environmental risks now and in the future
  • BevMax 3 exceeds Tier 2 Energy standards
  • All paper waste on site is shredded and recycled. All of our staff are encouraged to reduce waste and contribute to the saving of energy
  • All cardboard packaging when used is returned, compressed and removed by a recycling company. CMS are migrating to reusable and biodegradable packaging where possible
  • All CMS machines are shortly to be fitted with long-life, low energy LED lighting to replace traditional Fluorescent lighting and we are currently working towards an alternative to R134a refrigerant gas for our chilled snack and food merchandisers
